School2Home is an organization that has a goal of bridging the technology gap in LAUSD schools by providing Chromebooks for students to use at home. Having two children of my own who use a Chromebook at home, I know that School2Home is also providing some kind of protection for the relatively rugged devices, since it would be sad if the standard 10% breakage rate caused the program to fail before it served the students well.
Kids will pick Chromebooks up by the cover, set items on top of them, toss them in backpacks, and generally treat the devices like smartphones wearing a solid case. However, the flexible Chromebook screens make it a bit more delicate than those smartphones. The Cranium by Educabana is the best solution I have found to help prevent screen breakage in Chromebooks. It's what I use at home with my kids' Chromebook. At around $15, this cover is more economical than many of the higher-priced alternatives, some of which don't even work to protect the bendable screen.
If you need a bunch of these Chromebook covers, then use the contact form on the right, or one on Educabana, where you can read more.
